Main Idea: The One who holds you molds you.
Introduction: In this first weekend of 2022, Pastor Chris cast vision for our growth—individually and as a body of believers. Our theme for this year is TRANSFORMATION.
Discussion Starter: Before we jump into 2022, take a look back at 2021. Our theme was FAVOR. Where did you see God’s favor in your life in 2021?
Primary Scriptures: Psalm 100, Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 3:18
- Read Psalm 100. Spend some time as a group praising God for the work He did in your lives in 2021 and the work He will do in 2022.
- We love people at Faith Promise. One of the best ways to experience that love is to be in a group. So what was your favorite aspect of group last year? What should we do again? How can we love each other better?
- Read Romans 12:1-2 and 2 Corinthians 3:18. These will be our theme verses for 2022. What excites you most about transformation? Putting off the old? Or the new exciting things to come? Choose one of these as a memory verse to learn as a group this month.
Suggestion: Consider breaking the group into twos or threes for this section.
Commit to pray for each other’s growth in 2022. If you have a growth plan or a word of the year, share it with at least one other person in the group. If you don’t have a growth plan or a word, work on that this week and share your plan next week. You can find a template for a personal growth plan on page 141 of your Transformation Devotional book (available free at every campus this weekend). You can get a digital copy of the devotional and find the first two days for free here: https://faithpromise.org/book/.
There will be a prayer gathering at each campus January 8 at 9:oo AM.
