Main Idea:  God’s will is for your home to be a place where His Kingdom comes.

Introduction:  This week Pastor Chris continued our Family Games series teaching about how our homes are to be a place where His Kingdom comes!

Discussion Starter:  We all come from somewhere. Did you grow up in a believing household? Were you taught about faith as a child, or did you come to faith later in life?

Primary Scriptures:  Matthew 6:9-13, Romans 7:14-19, Galatians 5:16-26

Discussion Questions:

1. Read Matthew 6:9-13 (The Lord’s Prayer) as a group. What do you think it means for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven? How are you seeking to know God’s will in your life? Reading scripture? Prayer and fasting?
2. Read Romans 7:14-19. We all sin and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). How do we respond when we realize we have sinned? How do we respond when others sin?
3. Read Galatians 5:16-26.  How do we live by the Spirit and walk by the Spirit in practice? What is the evidence that we are walking in the Spirit?

Suggestion:  Break into small groups of 2 or 3 for this section.

Read Deuteronomy 5:8-10. The way we follow or do not follow God’s commands has consequences not only for us, but also for the people we are leading. Take some time to pray in your smaller group and repent of any ways that you have been building your own kingdom rather than God’s Kingdom. Ask God to lead you by His Spirit in His ways, and ask Him to help you disciple the people He has given you to lead.
