New Series, First Wednesday, & Time Changes!

Hello Faith Promise Family,

Wow!  What a mighty God we serve, and we praise Him for all that He did this past weekend during Sacred Storm: Without Reservation and Pirates and Princesses.  With over 6,000 in attendance and over 400 salvations, this was the biggest weekend in the history of FPC!  Stories are pouring in about the lives that were changed, and I can’t wait to see the harvest that continues in the days and weeks to come.  Thank you so much to all of our super volunteers who helped to make this such a huge success!

To follow up on our drama, on November 6 & 7 we will begin a new four-week series called, Hereafter.  This will be an extremely powerful series about how the hereafter affects the here and now.  Please bring your lost friends and family members, and let’s see what miracles God will do as we continue to share the Good News of Jesus to those around us.

Also, this coming weekend we have an important service time change to let you know about.  Beginning on November 6, we will now have only one service at our Pellissippi Campus on Saturday evenings which will be at 6:00 pm.

And you won’t want to miss our monthly First Wednesday service on November 3, beginning at 6:30 pm at both our Pellissippi and Blount campuses.  Join us for a sweet time of extended worship, welcoming new family members, hearing from the Word, and sharing the Lord’s Supper together as we lift up praises to our God who continues to bless us in such amazing ways!

Finally, Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend, so please remember to “FALL BACK” and set your clocks back one hour before bedtime on Saturday night.

Looking forward to seeing you all this week!

New Fall Alignment Series Begins This Weekend!

Hello Faith Promise Family,

Summer vacations are over, the kids are back in school, and we are so excited about our many upcoming Fall events here at FPC! Please continue to pray for God’s guidance as we look forward all that is ahead, including the launch of our Blount County Campus on October 3 and Sacred Storm and Pirates and Princesses on October 29-31. I am praying for our greatest harvest of souls ever during this season!

On September 11-12, we begin our four-week alignment series, Plan B.  Our weekend messages and community groups will seek to answer the question, “What do you do when God doesn’t show up the way you thought He would?”  We all face trials in our lives, and now is the time to cultivate community before the fire starts. If you are not already involved in one of our groups, I encourage you to join now.  You will see that they are a great gift from God!

This series is based on the book, Plan B, written by my good friend and fellow Pastor, Pete Wilson.  It truly is one of the best books I have ever read.  Don’t forget to pick up your copy at the fpResources section of the Information Desk for only $10.

I look forward to seeing you this weekend as we learn and worship together!

What’s n it 4 me?

Hello Faith Promise Family,

Last weekend we began what I believe is one of the best series we have ever had here at Faith Promise called, “What’s n it 4 me?” This series on heavenly rewards is something that most people have never thought about, and yet it is so important in the life of a Christ-follower.  This series will transform your life!  Click here to view my blog and learn more about your rewards from the Master!

I urge you not to miss the next three weekend’s messages.  If you are unable to attend please visit our Internet Campus as we look at what God has to say about this often overlooked subject.

Have a blessed week, and I look forward to seeing you this weekend!

New Sermon Series and July 4th Celebration

Hello Faith Promise Family,

This weekend, June 12-13, we begin a thought-provoking new three-week series that you won’t want to miss! Jesus commanded us to be fishers of men.  What happens when the catch demands more than you were expecting?  Are you willing to brave the elements and immerse yourself in a not-so-friendly environment?  If you do, you’ll discover it’s the most rewarding thing you’ll ever do!  Join us for the next three weekends as we cast aside the easy life and embark upon the Deadliest Catch.

I also want to remind you to mark your calendars now for our Fourth of July celebration to be held Sunday, July 4, from 5-10 pm at the Pellissippi State Community College Campus.  It will be an exciting evening of food, fun, inflatables and worship and it’s all FREE!  We will conclude the evening with a spectacular fireworks display by Pyro Shows.  Please plan to bring your lost and unchurched family and friends to this super outreach event.  Please note that this will take the place of our regular worship services on July 3-4. (Facebook Event)

In order to keep all of our children safe while participating in the various activities provided that evening it will take lots of teamwork and lots of volunteers!  Please sign up at faithpromise.org/july to supervise an activity for a one-hour time slot.  It is going to be awesome!

I look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Eyes Wide Open

Not all dreams happen while we’re sleeping. You may have aspirations of a different job, traveling the world, or new relationships, but we all have things we long for. Sometimes our dreams are pure, other times they’re not. Join us over the next few weeks as we consider how to approach our dreams with eyes wide open.

Christmas Classics

Upcoming Sermon Series

Join us as we take a practical look at how we can grow in our faith beginning 9/13/09.

Current Sermon Series

Faith Promise Church began a new sermon series this past weekend called Intoxicated.  Check out the sermon series trailer below:

Talking About Sex

If you missed it, you’ll want to check out the video from this past weekend as Pastor Chris Stephens addressed questions from the congregation on the topic of sex.  If you’re wondering, yes, he really did address topics such as pornography, masterbation, and what’s OK in the marriage bed.  Very candid discussion on a topic that has been often overlooked from the pulpit.
