Hey Faith Promise Family,

Seven years ago we began Heart for the Harvest, a journey to fund the future of Faith Promise. Even that first year, I believed that God was going to do something transformative through the people I call, “Promisers.” And, God did just that. Over the past seven years, we have seen God move, and He has given us the opportunity to see His Kingdom expand in Knoxville and beyond through our church.

This weekend we begin our Heart for the Harvest season, launching a new series called The Tennessee God Sees. Although our church is incredibly focused on reaching our community for Christ, it’s easy for each of us to become distracted. Can you imagine how God feels as He looks down at the brokenness within the families in our region? Can you imagine how God feels when he sees children’s lives being destroyed by drug abuse? And, most importantly, can you fathom the potential for change and redemption? The Tennessee God Sees is full of families being restored and lives being rebuilt – because the local church is living as His ambassadors in a broken world. God wants to use YOU to transform our region and our state!

So, over the next few weeks, I want to ask you to do a few things. Will you join with me in:

• Participating in our church-wide fast. Beginning Monday, October 24 through Sunday, November 13, we will be praying and fasting together. Although you can fast from a meal or all meals, you can also fast from TV, social media, or many other things. If you need help fasting, click HERE for additional resources.
• Praying about what God would have you give. On the weekend of November 12-13, we will give our Heart for the Harvest offering during our weekend services at all campuses. Will you pray about what God would have you and your family give to support the future of reaching our region and state with the message of Christ? Although there will be envelopes available each weekend, you can always give your offering online HERE.

I will be sharing more information with you over the next few weeks about what our offering will support this year. It is going to blow your mind!
