Discussion Starter: Who do you think knows you the best?

Introduction: Insecurity tears at our identity and keeps us from experiencing the quality of life God created us to enjoy.

Encounter God

Primary Scripture: Exodus 3:10-14; 4:10-13

Discussion Questions:
1. In Exodus 3:14 God says “I AM WHO I AM” Although we may not be able to fully understand that, one thing it tells us is that God defines His own identity; He is not dependent on anything external. How does that impact how you define yourself?

2. Our culture’s ideas about identity are temporary and constantly changing. How can you express to those around you that your identity in Christ is constant and everlasting?

3. Read 2 Corinthians 12:9 This Scripture is a glaring contradiction to how our culture views strength and weakness. How has God shown you His strength at a time when you felt weak?

4. Pastor Jeff said that only God can speak to the deepest longings of our soul to satisfy and truly shape our identity. When have you put your identity in something that ended up disappointing you?
