The Greatest Investment
(This post was written by Gina McClain, Director of Children’s Ministries)
The greatest challenge for parents is the greatest investment we can make for the greatest legacy we can leave behind… leading our kids to love Jesus with all their heart, mind and strength.
When my oldest son was 9 months old one of our pastors made a statement I will never forget.
“The only thing that matters 100 years from now is your child’s relationship with God.”
A powerful statement that serves as a great reminder of the things most important in life. Like most parents, I get caught up in the craziness of a busy schedule. Basketball leagues, homework, laundry, career… life gets busy. And many times investing our time and attention in the busyness serves as a great distraction to what is most important.
Leading our kids spiritually.
Leading our kids to grow in a relationship with Christ.
Leading our kids to choose God above, amidst and within all the distractions of life.
You might think,
“How do I do it? I mean, leading my child spiritually sounds great. But how?!?”
Great question. Come learn practical methods for leading your child into a growing relationship with Christ. Check out some of the opportunities we’ve created for you at the Marriage & Parent Summit February 11th & 12th.
