Relationships are a beauty to behold, not a beast to handle. The most important relationship is our relationship with God.

If you were one of the seven dwarfs, which one would you be today: Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Dopey, Sleepy, Sneezy, or Bashful?
Introduction
This week our Global Student Pastor Zac preached on the most important relationship we should have: a relationship with God. He compared our lives to the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Like many fairy tales, Snow White has a villain, a quest, and a prince. We also have a villain: Satan, a quest: God’s purpose for our lives, and a prince: Jesus. When the enemy attacks us we often react much like Snow White did when the villain came after her. She ran. When the enemy attacks us we run from God and find comfort in the world. That’s exactly what the enemy wants us to do. The goal of the villain in our story is to stop us from fulfilling our purpose in Christ.
Encountering God through Bible Study
Read Acts 2:36-47.
1. Our Prince – Jesus – never retreats. Instead he is proactive. Can you list ways Jesus was proactive?
2. Why did he have to die on the cross?
3. The Prince’s (Jesus) love and action for us requires a response from us. Discuss.
4. If you have received Christ, is there enough evidence to convict you as a Christian?
5. What are ways that people could better see Christ in you?
6. Christians have a quest. What is your quest?
7. Why does the villain (Satan) hate and resent God’s children?
8. Are there people you resent because you feel like they have something that should have been yours?
9. Have you been baptized, have you laid your stuff down? If not, are you ready to lay your stuff down and go after your quest? What’s holding you back?
Embrace others in Biblical Community
Let us pray for each other to run boldly to God and toward our calling. Let us pray that we are mighty, wearing the full armor of God, and full of valor. If you feel comfortable, share with the group what you run to instead of running to God. Some common things people run to are work/career, drugs, alcohol, sex, and other people. Let us pray specifically to avoid the traps of Satan.

Leader Notes

1. He came down from Heaven to save us, He died for us, He gives us free will, He never leaves us.
2. Because God can’t look upon sin. In order for Jesus to wash our sins, God had to turn his back on Jesus and allow him to die in our place.
3. He died to save us, but also gave us free will. We are required to choose if we will accept him into our hearts. Once we accept him we must serve him.
4. Think about your actions throughout the day today. How many times would someone have seen Christ in you.
5. Openly talk. Suggestions could be praying for someone, following God’s will, behaving as Christ would have, showing grace/mercy.
6. Our Quest is to serve God’s will in our lives so that we can bless God and enlarge the Kingdom. It begins with prayer. We should all pray to seek God’s will, step out in faith, and do our best to serve him in accordance with his holy word. You might turn the discussion to be more personal and ask what group members believe God is leading them specifically to do in his kingdom.
7. The enemy hates us because he used to be an angel. He sees us has having the power that should be his.
8. If so, let’s pray together that God remove the resentment and envy.
