Small Group Serves The Lenoir City Community
This past weekend, a few of the members from the Winterton Small Group in Lenoir City spent their time serving at Crossroads Christian Academy. While there, they helped vacuum, clean lockers, pull weeds, scrape paint, and completed various other tasks that needed to be done before school started back, this week.
One of the members of the Winterton Small Group was not able to participate physically at Crossroads but was able to serve from home during the time the group was serving as their “Prayer Warrior” covering the school, the teachers, the students, the budget, new enrollments, etc for the entire 2016-2017 school year in prayer!
The Winterton Group has “adopted” Crossroads Christian Academy this year in an effort to start building relationships in the community. The Guettenbergs who own the school gave them permission to share their photo’s and story on Facebook and anywhere else to help get the word out about their school. As a group, the Winterton’s would like everyone to know that although it was hard work, it was great fun to serve with one another!
