Pencils, Crayons and a Little Bit of Hope
It’s Back-To-School season! Thanks to my husband, all 3 of our kids have their supplies ready to go. Our calendars are marked for each orientation & “Meet the Teacher” day. We’re rapidly getting ready for school.
In the midst of the preparation, there is one dominant thought running through my mind.
My kids are the light of the world. They’re very purpose at their school is not to make the best grades, accumulate the most friends, or be the best student. They’re initial purpose is to be a light for Jesus.
Whether it’s public, private or homeschool… at some point they will interact with those that do not know Jesus. Some have never heard of Him. Some have heard and think they know Him. Some have heard and simply turned away. Whatever the case may be, God desires to use your child as a light to draw others to Him.
As we prepare our kids for this new school season, Imagine the End by focusing your energy and effort on the things that make a lasting impact. Over the next few weeks, pray for your child.
Pray God’s Word is active in their life.
Pray that as they walk through their school, play on the playground and hang out with their friends, they are the light God designed them to be.
Pray they let their light shine before others, that they may see their good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven.
