Series: “To Do List”
Focus: What To Do Tonight
During the service tonight, students will be challenged to think about the different excuses we make for not responding to the Gospel. The two biggest excuses we make in not responding to the gospel are: “I have plenty of time to take care of that”, and “I am too afraid to let go of control.” Students will be challenged with the reality that the most important thing on their “To Do List” to take care of tonight is to choose to respond to the gospel.
Choices…we all faces choices every day in our lives. Whether it is in our jobs, with our friends, at school, or with our families, we all have to make a ton of choices in our lives. There is one choices however, that is more important than any other choice you will make in your life. It is the choice of what you will do about Jesus Christ.
“Fear the Lord, and serve him with integrity and faithfulness. Get rid of the gods your ancestors served on the other side of the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve only the Lord. But if you don’t want to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve.”
God makes it very clear that we have to make a choice in what we will do with Jesus. We can either choose to make him our personal Savior, or not. It is a choice that every person has to make and no one else can make it for you.
