Service Summary:

“What can I do?” This is a common question that students ask when it comes to their involvement in God’s unstoppable mission.  We all have insecurities and a sense of inadequacy that makes us timid or scared to step out and reach our world.  Unfortunately, this question is missing the point!

 

This week we discover that we are all created to worship and love God, and we are given gifts and talents that are to be used to glorify Him by connecting with others.  As Peter and John show us in Acts 3, there are people all around us who are hurting and in need.  We may not be able to give them everything they WANT, but we can absolutely give them what they NEED…a clear picture of the God who loves them.

 

That’s the purpose behind God’s mission: to mobilize Christ-followers who will lead out and make disciples by representing Christ’s love to the world.

 

Family Discussion:

1. Why is it sometimes hard to take that step of reaching out to someone else?
2. Who comes to your mind that could use a clear representation of God’s love?
3. What can your family do differently to live out Christ’s example to each other and to the world around you?
4. How can you pray specifically for each other to accomplish this?
