Parent Connection – fpKids
Preschool (2 yrs to PreK)
This month we are teaching your Preschooler that…
God has a Plan for me!
A key question you can ask your child is, “Who Loves You?” God loves me! In fact, God loves us so much that He has a plan for our lives. Just as He had a plan for Jesus’ life.
Serving others is one of the most challenging things to do each day. Especially when it isn’t very fun. But Jesus taught us that the most important thing we can do for each other is to serve them. To love others with our actions. This week we will see how Jesus spent His final evening serving His friends.
Create a Rhythm by creating a sense of purpose in your kids. As you serve them, talk about how you enjoy serving them and demonstrating your love for them. Ask them how they might be able to serve their siblings, friends, &/or neighbors.
Elementary (K-5th grade)
This week our focus is…
Take time to remember God Loves You!
In Mark & John we see a moment among a group of friends. What began as a celebration progressed into a demonstration of Servant Leadership. Jesus takes this final opportunity to show His friends how He wants them the live… and how He wants everyone else to live while they’re on earth.
Make it Personal by reading Mark 14 & John 13-14 this week. Only this time, look at it a little different. As Jesus breaks the bread and pours the wine, He references His body and His blood broken and poured out. Then He says, “Do this in remembrance.” Schedule a time when you might take Communion this month and remind yourself to live your life as Jesus lived His… broken and poured out.
