Miracle Month is Here!
Hi Faith Promise Family,
I am thrilled to be back after my sabbatical and am looking forward to sharing with you many of the exciting things God revealed to me during my time away. I have never felt more refreshed, revived, and closer to our Lord than I do now, and I want to thank you once again for allowing me such a generous privilege. I am blessed beyond belief to be your Pastor!
This coming weekend, August 6-7, begins our 2011 Month of Miracles we are calling, Ten Steps Back! I can’t remember when I have been more excited about an upcoming sermon series and about what God has in store for us. I am still in awe of the move of God during our Miracle Month last year, and I believe He will do even more in the weeks and months to come. We need Him now more than ever as we move forward with His plan to reach the lost and unchurched through Faith Promise Church.
On August 20-21 we will be asking the Lord to miraculously move the sun ten steps back, just as He did for Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20:1-11. That weekend we will be giving God a sacrificial offering and asking Him to move with the same supernatural power that He did so long ago. He CAN and I believe He WILL!
In order to expand our campuses, we are asking everyone to step out in faith, pray, and ask God what He will give each of us to give back to Him during the upcoming year. I call this Revelation Giving. Please join with me in praying for 2 million dollars in cash to be given on August 20-21 and for much more to be pledged during the following 12 months. Please, pray and pledge! God will show up and show out if we are obedient to Him and all join together to do our part. Together we can experience the greatest miracles in the history of FPC.
More exciting news is that beginning on August 7 we are opening a new venue called, The Sanctuary. This unique worship experience will be held weekly in Satellite 1 at our Pellissippi Campus during the 10:20 a.m. service time and will be a softer, more experiential environment featuring the Lord’s Supper, message application, and worship songs done in a different way. I am pleased to tell you that Chuck Carringer, our Pastor of Family Ministries, will be the Campus Pastor for this venue and will help lead us into a deeper worship connection with God. Join us on August 7 as we provide another way to reach new people for Christ.
I love you and can’t wait to see you this weekend! Let’s pack out the House of God at all campuses as we worship and look for His miracles together!
