What Love Is by Kelly Minter
This study of 1, 2, & 3 John, encourages you to remain faithful to the truth. You will be challenged to look at contrasting themes such as walking in the light instead of darkness, truth versus lies and deception, loving God more than loving the world, and the meaning of true fellowship and community rather than shallowness. Led by Jennifer Dickson in Theater 1.
Breathe by Priscilla Shirer – One of the greatest challenges among women in our culture is taking time to stop and cease from all the activities and busyness and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. We miss the moments because we rush ahead to the next thing. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God’s greatest gifts. It is time for us to breathe and build margin into our lives for God. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted the concept of Sabbath will change your life. Led by Kristin McLoughlin in Room 215.
Christian: It’s Not What You Think by Andy Stanley – What does it mean to be Christian? Curiously, the term is never used in Scripture. Instead, Christian was a label used by outsiders to define Jesus’ followers. Jesus referenced ‘disciple’ as the key word he used to describe his supporters along with the fact that they would be known for their love – a novel concept for their time – and ours today. This study examines the characteristics Jesus used to define those who follow him and the implications they have for believers today. What if believers today embodied these traits? Would the non-believing world put aside its definition of ‘Christian’ and instead know us by our love? Led by Phyllis Zuschneid in Room 223.
THURSDAY NIGHTS
Beginning April 9
6:30 p.m.
God’s At War by Kyle Idleman
In this new series, Kyle Idleman challenges our presumptions about sin by suggesting that all sin derives from the same source—idolatry. While we don’t see many “graven images” around today, Kyle argues that there are still countless gods passionately at war for the throne of our hearts. If we put the wrong god on the throne, our lives will be thrown into chaos, and all of the effort we put into fighting sin and overcoming it will be futile. Led by Sue Skytta in Room 215.
Cross Fit by Jennifer Dickson
What does a Christian Woman look like in today’s world? How do we embrace who God has created us to be in a world where we have lost our spiritual identity? How do women build spiritual muscle to be the Warrior Princess, a woman of virtue and integrity, we are called to be? Join us as we dig into what God’s Word says about being a woman who knows her identity in Christ. One who knows her head is crowned, her spiritual clothing is beyond compare, and her armor is vital. But most of all she knows her Creator designed her for a flawless purpose. Led by Jennifer Dickson in Theater 1.
