It’s “Game Day” Time!
Hello Faith Promise Family,
It’s almost impossible to believe that summer is over. Kids are back in school, and football season is upon us. I appreciate your faithful attendance and support during vacation season so much. I also want to tell you once again how honored and grateful I am to be your Pastor. Your outpouring of love and caring for Michele and I as we celebrated 20 amazing years with you has been so humbling. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The best really is yet to come!
Not only is it Football Time in Tennessee, it’s also Game Day time! This weekend, August 20-21, we will begin a new four-week sermon series which focuses on stepping out of the stands, getting off the bench, and jumping into the game. For those of you who heard the message this past weekend, I reminded everyone that even if our campus buildings all burned to the ground today, the church would go on. The church is not a place; it is a people. Jesus sacrificed everything for people, and we must follow his example of serving and loving everyone as we make room for more and more souls in the Body of Christ. Where are you in the game? Do you need to join the team through salvation and baptism? Connect in community through Groups? Or get involved in ministry through serving and giving? Please pray about what God would have you do, and join us each week as we all work together to build God’s church called Faith Promise.
I am so pumped about this series! Come on, FP! It’s time to “put on the team colors” of our Savior and make a difference for Him!
See you this weekend!
P.S. Please mark your calendars now for two important upcoming dates! On September 10-11, David Nasser, former Muslim and now a Christ follower, will be with us to share his amazing story of God’s saving grace. This will be the perfect weekend to invite your lost friends and family as we also have Baptism Day at all campuses. On September 17-18, we welcome Dr. John Maxwell as our guest speaker. Whom would God have you bring to hear the world’s foremost expert on leadership? It’s a great time to invite those who may not otherwise attend!
