Heart for the Harvest, Prayer, and Fasting
Dear Faith Promise Church Family,
As 2015 draws to a close, we are about to enter in to one of the most important and exciting periods in the life of Faith Promise Church. This coming weekend, October 25-26, we begin our four-week sermon series focusing on the biblical story of the Red Sea called, The Crossing. Just as Moses and the Israelites did so long ago, we can all look back in our past and point to pivotal “Red Sea” moments in our lives; moments where God moved in great power even when we did not trust that He would. And He is still moving today! In Exodus 14:13a Moses told the people,
“Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today;”
Like the Israelites, we must continue to move forward with the vision our Lord has given us. During the next four weeks I truly believe God is going to move, save, restore, heal, and bless like never before, and you won’t want to miss a single message! Each weekend will have a special focus and prayer emphasis as follows:
• October 25-26 – Salvations, Prodigals, and Relationships
• November 1-2 – Physical Healing
• November 8-9 – Jobs and Financial Miracles
• November 15-16 – Heart for the Harvest Miracle Offering
As we prepare for our Heart for the Harvest weekend, I am asking everyone to join with me and our staff, earnestly praying for God to move miraculously in all of the areas listed above, and begging Him to pour out financial blessings on our entire FPC family. I also encourage you to participate in our 21-day fast beginning on Sunday, October 26. This fast can be for the full 21-days, one meal per day, a Daniel fast, a fast from TV or social media, or however the Lord leads you. During our time of prayer and fasting, I have recorded daily devotionals to encourage you along the way. For more information, including the devotionals and fasting tips, please click here.
As we conclude this series with our Heart for the Harvest weekend on November 15-16, we are asking everyone to bring a special sacrificial gift, over and above regular tithes and offerings. Some of the things your gifts will help us in doing are: relocating our North Knox Campus to a permanent home, improving an existing campus or launching a new campus, building a feeding center in Salubindza, South Africa, helping to complete a conference and retreat center at the Jamaica Deaf Village, and reducing our current debt. Let’s be faithful in praying, fasting and sacrificing with a heart of generosity as we look forward to all our Great God will do in and through each of us!
I can’t wait to see all the miracles our Lord will bless us with during the next month! Remember, this is our year of the hundredfold blessing! See you this weekend as we continue our journey of faith together!
Love,
Pastor Chris
