Heart for the Harvest 2017 Begins This Weekend!

Dear Promisors,

On October 21-22 we begin our annual Heart for the Harvest series – a season in the life of our church family that I have been praying for and looking forward to all year long. As many of you know, the heart of Faith Promise Church is to help real people with real problems find real love. To accomplish this vision from our Heavenly Father we need His help and the help of all Promisors as well.

People are desperately searching for something authentic, something true, something real; and Faith Promise exists to help them discover the real Truth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We need to be real people of faith, acknowledge and engage the real problems all around us, and display real love that is permanent, powerful, sacrificial, selfless, forgiving, and accepting of those we encounter. Please don’t miss this three-week series, Real People, Real Problems, Real Love.

The series will conclude with our H4H offering weekend on November 4-5. This is a time of sacrificial giving over and above our regular tithes to further God’s command that calls us to make an eternal difference in our area and around the world. Some of this year’s initiatives will include: planting a church in Cape Town, South Africa, expanding a church in Ludhiana, India, aiding the homeless of Knoxville, renovating our Blount Campus, purchasing our North Knox Campus, upgrading lighting at all campuses, and launching at least one new multisite location. Remember, Scripture tells us no gift is too small in God’s eyes, and He loves a cheerful giver!

As we prepare for the offering weekend I ask you to join me in a time of corporate prayer and fasting for our offering and the future of our church from October 23rd through November 5th. For more information on biblical fasting, you may click here.

Also, on October 28-29 fpKids will be celebrating in a special way at all our campuses with Hoedown Showdown.  Children are invited to wear their costumes and bring their friends along for candy and lots of fun. Many times through the years we have heard stories of new families planting their lives here with us at FPC because of our awesome fpKids ministry. Pray with your kids about whom God wants you to invite and let’s see what HE will do!

Finally, please mark your calendars for our heart stirring Compassion Experience coming up on November 10th – 13th. In it you will experience other cultures, the realities of global poverty, and learn how you can change the life of a child living half a world away. Sign up here to tour one of Compassion International’s mobile units at our Blount and Pellissippi Campus locations.

Love you and looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
