Go Fish!
(Post written by Mark Spivey, worship ministry volunteer-audio mix)
Matthew 4:19 (NASB): And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
John 21:6 (NASB): And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch.” So they cast, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish.
Matthew 28:19-20 (NASB): “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
I have been reflecting on these passages recently and they, along with the Spirit, have motivated me to ask myself the following questions:
For me it has been one of those probing line of questions, the more that you ponder the more that gets revealed. Now that I have started asking these questions I plan on continuing to do it on a frequent basis, as well as continuing to add more questions. I am so very thankful that I serve a God of grace who isn’t finished working in my life!
I believe the biggest thing, aside from following Him, is we should at least be fishing and making progress in it.
May you be a successful fisherman that teaches many others to be successful fishermen!
