FP Small Group Collects Donations to Aid Those Affected By The Flooding in LA

LA Flooding

One of our  Faith Promise small groups is collecting donations to help aid people in South Louisiana who were recently affected by flooding in the Baton Rouge, LA area and they need our help!

More than 22 inches of rain fell recently leaving the Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana communities looking like a house-strewn lake. “Katrina-like” is how officials described it, referring to 2005’s Hurricane Katrina. The latest reports estimate 102,000 homes have been affected across 20 parishes.

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Samaritan’s Purse U.S. Disaster Relief volunteers provide flood survivors help and comfort throughout rain-drenched Louisiana.  Click Here to learn more.

One of our small groups is collecting non-cash donations that will be shipped in a donated 18-wheeler truck on September 8th. These items will be delivered to the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church who will then directly distribute them to people in the community. Fully 100% of these tax deductible donations go to those in need, as do on-line cash donations. Learn More Here., call Ms. Sissy Davis (225) 261-2246, or email to [email protected].
