Introduction: This week Pastor Zac started a new series on the family by asking what Kingdom is being built in our homes. Are we building the Kingdom of God? Or something else? How we spend our money says a lot about our priorities and values.
Discussion Starter: Who taught you about money? Parents? School economics class? Dave Ramsey? Trial and error?

Primary Scriptures: Joshua 6 and 7
Discussion Questions:
- You may already be familiar with Joshua and the Battle of Jericho, but there is value in reading and listening to God’s word together. Read Joshua 6 and 7 aloud in your group.
- Think about your time, talents, and money. What do we set apart for the Lord? What do we take from the Lord?
- Read Joshua 7:10-12. Achan’s sin affected the entire Israelite camp. How have you seen similar impacts of sin in the world today?

Suggestion: Break into small groups of 2 or 3 for this section.
Read Joshua 7:19-21. Joshua urges Achan to make a confession of his sin. Take some time to pray together and ask forgiveness for those sins that are known and also for those sins that are unknown (that is, we have unknowingly caused harm). Read 1 John 1:9. Praise God that through Jesus, He forgives our unrighteousness and restores our relationship with Him.
