Exciting Weekend Ahead!

Merry Christmas, FPC Family!

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just two weeks away, and we are so excited about all that is happening at FPC as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our blessed Lord and Savior! This coming weekend, December 13-15, we will present our Christmas production, Angels Anonymous. This moving drama and video features the Christmas story told from the unique perspective of the angels and is something you won’t want to miss! Also included will be some of your favorite seasonal songs, awesome worship, and a special message from the Word. Music (which always includes lots of surprises!) will begin ten minutes prior to each service, and it will be a packed weekend at all of our locations, so be sure to arrive early! Please check our website for service dates and times at your campus.

Our Children’s Ministry also has some very special things in store for your kids during all services at all of our campuses. For ages 2 yrs. through 3rd grade, your kids will have an opportunity to be a part of The Nativity Live. We are encouraging children to come dressed as any Nativity character, even a shining star! This can be something very simple and homemade. How exciting it will be for them to play a part in the Nativity story! Our 4th and 5th graders will have surprises and an interactive element as well. Please encourage your children to invite their friends–only God knows the seeds that will be planted in the hearts of these little ones who come, hear, and participate in the depiction of this monumental event that changed all of history!

As many of you know, I have asked everyone to join with me in praying for 8,000 in total attendance across all of our campuses this weekend. I have been begging God to use this drama to pierce the hearts and open the eyes of the lost and unchurched you will bring with you. Let’s double our efforts between now and Friday and invite, invite, invite! The gospel message will be presented in a clear way, and so I ask you to please continue praying about who God wants you to bring as we come together to worship King Jesus. If we are obedient to His urging, God will bless our efforts, and lives will be changed forever!

We will have regular services times on the weekends of December 21-22 and 28-29. If you are in town, please be faithful in your attendance during the holidays, and don’t forget about our online services if you are traveling. Also, please remember that our church offices will be closed from December 24 through January 1 and will reopen on January 2 at 8:00 am.

Michele and I love you, and I pray God’s richest blessings on you all. As 2013 comes to a close, I hope that you will take some time to thank God for all He has done for you, to really enjoy time with your families and friends, to rest, and to seek God for His direction for you and yours during the coming year. I can’t wait to see what it will hold!

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
