Where do you enjoy seeing people use strategy in the world? Football? Politics? Business?
This week Pastor Matt Grimes finished our End Game series with a message warning us about the strategy of our opponent Satan. If we know our enemy’s game plan, we can predict and defend against his attacks. Three weapons Satan uses against humans are doubt, fear, and offense.
Encounter God through Bible Study
Weapon #1 is Doubt. Read Genesis 3:1-5.
1. What doubt does Satan sow in Eve’s mind? When are you tempted to doubt God’s word? When are you tempted to doubt that God is who He says He is? Can you get to the root of your doubt?
Weapon #2 is Fear. Read Matthew 25:24-25.
2. How is the servant’s fear of his master in these verses fueled by doubt? How are fear and doubt related?
Weapon #3 is Offense. Read Colossians 3:12-14.
3. When is the last time you were offended by someone? How many times today were you offended by someone? Is your heart like the heart described in these verses?
4. Do you feel like Satan preys more on doubt, fear, or offense in your life?
Read Matthew 4:1-10.
5. What is Jesus’ strategy against Satan? Do you have memory verses that you use as your sword of the the Spirit?
