Discusssion Questions: Faith Without Borders – Week Four / Burden & Ease
To further the conversation started by the weekend message, use these discussion questions in a group study or for personal reflection.
Our message this week – Burden & Ease.
1. God has been moving in the body of Faith Promise during our series on Faith Without Borders.
- How have you seen God move in your life and walk or in the life and walk of someone else during our time in this series?
2. There are 3 kinds of giving: tithes and offerings, alms, and free will offerings
- Share when and how you were first taught about tithes and offerings.
- Do you have any testimonials on how you have seen God move through alms – giving to help the less fortunate?
- Share about the first time you gave a free will offering.
3. A part of family life is, or should be, the sharing of the burdens of the household.
- Share examples of how your family shared those burdens growing up or how your family shares in those burdens now such, as chores or regular duties.
- What are the benefits to those sharing the burden?
- What are the benefits to those whose burdens are lightened?
4. A part of a great church is the sharing of the burden as well in the form of everyone giving back to the body though their time, talents, and gifts.
- Do you currently serve in an FP ministry?
- Share how God has blessed you and grown you though your service to His kingdom.
5. Another part of a great church is paying forward what others have done for you, in some cases before they even knew you. Pastor shared that what we give in free will offerings during the Heart For The Harvest often goes towards the next generation to provide room for them at an FP campus and to ensure we are ready to care for them as they come to visit.
- Share how FP, or another church possibly as you were growing up, had an impact on you and served as a conduit to allow God to work through them to change your life.
