Come Let Us Adore!
Dear Faith Promise Family,
The joyous holiday season is here! As I reflect on all God has done for us at Faith Promise, I’m reminded once again how grateful I am to be your Pastor! It truly is one of my greatest joys in life, and I love you and pray for you each day. During the coming Thanksgiving week I hope that you will have a wonderful time of rest and fellowship with your family and friends. And as you celebrate with loved ones, I encourage you to pause and give thanks to our Lord for the countless blessings and freedoms He has so graciously allowed us to experience. We can never thank Him enough!
Taken from one of the most loved and familiar Christmas carols, O Come All Ye Faithful, the theme of our new sermon series is, Come Let Us Adore. This four-week series on worship begins November 30 and continues through December 22. As we think about this most wonderful time of year and the birth of our Savior, what better time could there be to focus on worship? Let all the faithful come and bring their worship to the only One who is worthy to be celebrated and praised!
“…And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Also, on the weekend of December 13-15 we will present the moving drama, Angels Anonymous. You won’t want to miss this special event which features the Christmas story told from the unique perspective of the angels. Please use this drama and the entire series to invite the lost and unchurched that you know. This will be an awesome opportunity to reach out to many who are more open to hearing the Gospel at this time of year. Handouts showing service times at your campus will be available for pick up this coming weekend.
I ask you to please begin praying now about whom God would have you bring with you as you come to worship during the next month. Praise God, we are now at 572 souls baptized for the year! How many more will come to know Jesus and spend eternity in Heaven because of your obedience in following God’s leading? I can’t wait to see all that He will do at each of our locations!
See you this weekend!
Love,
Pastor Chris
P.S. Please note that the church offices will be closed Wednesday through Friday, November 27-29. Happy Thanksgiving!
