Colossians Series Begins This Weekend!

roots FINAL

Hello FPC Family,

My heart is so full as I reflect on all that our Mighty God has done for us in recent days! With 403 souls baptized so far this year, record attendance at all of our campuses, more and more new families coming each week, great reports coming in from our newest campus in Costa Rica, significant growth in our adult Groups, and the best Easter and Mother’s Day services we have ever experienced, it is time to celebrate! I could go on and on sharing the many ways God is showering His blessings down from Heaven. Please pause and give thanks to the ONE who has made all of this, and much more, possible for FPC. Wow! Thank You, Lord!

This weekend, May 17-18, we will begin our challenging new sermon series called Roots. In this eight-week study of the book of Colossians, we will learn more about God’s grace and how to live in a way that is pleasing to Him. Our theme verse for the series is found in Colossians 2:6-7: “Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.” Where are your roots? Jesus is the ONLY one in whom we can be deeply rooted and find our firm foundation. You won’t want to miss a single message as we discover in the Word how to walk in faith and truly have a fruit-filled life full of joy and thankfulness.

As we move into the summer months and vacations begin, I encourage you to take time for some great R&R with your family and friends. I also encourage you to remain faithful in your attendance when you are in town and faithful in your support by giving generously to our Lord through your tithes and offerings. Ministry needs continue at all of our campuses, even when school is out. The enemy is not happy with all that our Father is accomplishing through FPC so let’s remain obedient to God’s commands and give with a cheerful heart as we make it hard to go to hell from East Tennessee!  Click here to give online.

Looking forward to an amazing summer ahead!

Love,

Pastor Chris

P.S. Remember when you are traveling you can still be a part by worshiping with us online.
