All Is Bright Sign-ups

all-is-bright-wide

Christmas is quickly approaching. For most, it’s a time of joy, celebration, and wonder. It is a time to come together with family and friends to celebrate the birth of our savior with a spirit of peace and love. Join us as we celebrate with families in need and show them the love and generosity of Jesus. You may never know how your gift has impacted the lives of children and their families. Share the love and hope that Jesus brought with those that need it most. Stop by the tree in the lobby beginning, Nov. 11th & 12th, and choose your tag. The simple act of giving a gift can change the world of a child.

We also have the need for many volunteers to sign up to serve to pass out the tags from the trees, collect gifts as they are returned, and serve at the shopping events that will take place during the month of December.

Volunteer Opportunities:

The first week in November: to help put up the trees

November 11th/12th: Before/After/and During Services at all campus locations (Pass out tags)

November 19th/20th: Before/After/and During Services at all campus locations (Pass out tags/Collect returned gifts)

November 26th/November 27th: Before/After/and During Services at all campus locations (Pass out tags/Collect returned gifts)

KidRave – a place for your child to serve

KidRave Logo_email

KidRave is designed for kids grades 1st-3rd who like to move for God.  KidRave is vital to our belief that kids make great worshippers!  KidRave provides kids the opportunity to lead worship during weekend services at fpKIDS and various other special events during the year.  Rehearsals are filled with fun, laughs, movement, and a focus on an aspect of worship and devotion to our God.

KidRave members are expected to attend rehearsals and one hour of fpKIDS each week. This makes KidRave a two-hour commitment each weekend.  This works great for parents who serve one service and worship another.  KidRave rehearsals are at 5:00 pm on Saturday & 10:40am on Sunday.

KidRave members need to be ready to go with lots of energy and wearing their KidRave t-shirt.

To register to participate, click here!

The cost for your child to participate in KidRave is $10 per year.  Your child will receive a KidRave t-shirt (yearly), access to all of the worship songs / motions, weekly rehearsals and a party at the end of the school year to celebrate all that God has done.

fpKIDS Volunteer Training Event – PEL Campus

fpKids Tea PartyWe serve to make a difference.

Yet when we serve in fpKIDS, we quickly realize that God makes a bigger difference in us than we expect.

There is something powerful about serving in kids ministry, whether it’s a role directly with kids or indirectly with the supplies they use… when you serve in kids ministry you can’t help feel like you’re in on the ground floor. The beginning of something incredible.

This February 24th from 2-4pm (2/24 from 2-4) is our annual fpKIDS Volunteer Training event for the PEL Campus team.  We’ll gather together as a family to:

Celebrate the work God is doing IN us when we serve.

Prepare for the work God has FOR us in 2013.

Let’s get ready for the incredible.

Whether you are a seasoned fpKIDS leader or someone looking to ‘kick the tires’ in an fpKIDS volunteer role… all are welcome.

It’s a Mad Hatter theme.  Wear a hat for entrance into the event.  Light snacks provided.

Childcare available by RSVP only by Feb 18.

Register for the event today!

Happy New Year, FPC Family!

I would like to remind you once again that beginning this weekend, January 5-6, our Pellissippi Campus service times will be changing.  Sunday worship will now be at 9:45 and 11:15 am. Saturday evening worship will remain at 6:00 pm, and Internet Campus service times aren’t changing at this time. Please help us spread the word!

Don’t miss this weekend as we hear a special message from God about how to grow closer to Him in 2013!

Love,
