2013: A Great Year For Your Family

It’s hard to believe that it is already mid-January. The new year isn’t so new anymore. Where are you focusing your attention for your family in 2013? Because all of our families are unique the specific areas of growth/focus will vary. One thing is certain, we all want the best for our families. We want our marriages to keep improving. We want our kids to continue to develop. We want – but wanting isn’t enough. I encourage each of us to identify our top 2-3 goals designed to improve/grow our marriages and families. Commit them to writing and pursue them daily. We all know if we continue to do what we have always done we will continue to get the same results. Let’s make some positive changes.

I encourage you to dedicate at least one of your top 3 family goals for 2013 to your family’s spiritual health.

Perhaps you will begin serving together at church, make a list of people you are inviting to be your family’s VIP and pray as a family for them, start having a family devotion a few times a week, recommit to weekly attendance at church and Wednesday for students, partner with a marriage mentor, attend the FPC Marriage & Parenting Summit, etc.

Let’s make 2013 a great year for your family. The FPC Family Ministry Team wants to help you any way we can.
