Meet the Staff
Wayne Burress Blount Campus Pastor
Wayne became the Blount Campus Pastor on March 1st, 2010. Before joining the staff, he spent almost 20 years designing and developing computer information systems for a couple of Fortune 100 companies. Regarding his response to God’s call into full-time ministry, he uses this quote from Andy Stanley “When God invites me, I do what I can do and trust Him to do what only He can do”.
He and Angie have been married since 1991 and have enjoyed being a part of the Faith Promise family since 2000. His primary ministry area has been in adult Groups where he’s served as a group leader and coached new leaders. In addition, he served as a member of the Leadership Team and volunteered in Children’s and First Impressions ministries.
He loves to spend time with Angie and their two children, Meredith and Evan. Sports, reading and time with friends are some of his favorite activities.
