Robbie Freeman

Anderson Campus Pastor of Groups & Missions

My Story

I was born in Virginia Beach, but my dad’s career in the Navy took us all over the world. We lived in California, Washington, Mississippi, Ohio, Virginia, Washington D.C., and lived in Scotland for five years. I began my walk with Christ when I was thirteen-years-old, but joining Faith Promise in 2012 revitalized my faith. My wife Cher and I have been married for many moons and have two rambunctious boys - Ryder and Eli. Cher also has two additional furry children. They are her Yorkie, Aristotle, and Meiko. We love spending time outdoors hiking and stand-up paddle boarding, and playing soccer.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Memphis in Communications, and I am currently working on a Master’s Degree in Christian Apologetics at Liberty University. I was a Small Group leader, and coach at the Pellissippi campus for several years and joined the Anderson County campus in August of 2016 as Small Groups Pastor. I spent fifteen years in restaurant management and currently am a General Manager for Gordon Food Services.

My ministry goal is to glorify God through transformed lives, and I think that small groups are the perfect ministry for that purpose. The Bible passage that I focus my life on is Colossians 1:28-29.
