Matt Grimes Middle School Pastor
Matt grew up in South Alabama and went to college at Samford University. He graduated with a degree in religious studies in 2003. Matt also holds a Masters in Christian Education from New Orleans. He served in middle school ministry in Birmingham, Alabama, before coming to Faith Promise in 2005. Matt meet the love of his life, Carmen, here at Faith Promise, and they got hitched in 2007. He is a huge Auburn fan and loves SEC football
I love to run, play on the lake, and work on home renovation projects, but at the end of the day, nothing beats a relaxing day of fishing…come on, I am from South Alabama.
Something unusual about me… I road a bull in high school… dumb idea, but it sure was fun! Besides, what else are you going to do in South Alabama on a Friday night?
If I could be any animal I would be a shark. Sharks are cool. Enough said.
I love food… its good! I'm not too picky; my least favorite food though, is lasagna. My greatest fear in life is being trapped in an airplane filled with snakes! Whoever thought up the movie "Snakes on a Plane" is really twisted. Never watch that movie the night before flying 21 hours to Africa. You will have to be sedated.
